Vintage Maps
We love vintage maps, so when we came across a HUGE lot of them at My Favorite Place, we spent some major time going through them.  And for 25 cents a piece it was time well spent.  We ended up taking home  about 50 ~ ranging from the 1930's through the 1970's.
Vintage 1964 New York Map
We framed this map with a frame purchased at Goodwill for $8 and the bottle was bought for $4 at a local thrift store ~ making this vignette a whopping $12.25!
We also chose to frame this 1950's Western Europe Map and hung it in our living room.
The frame was another Goodwill find!

Have you found any vintage maps?
You know we LOVE comments :)

  1. Maps are great. I wallpapered a closet with maps for my kids' computer space. Read and see it on my blog. Here is the link: http://elisabethcrisp.com/2012/12/11/the-map-room/

  2. Lovely maps and framing! I don't have any maps, but I have a very old atlas which is falling apart which I could use. You certainly have clever ideas. Jane

  3. This is great! I have been collecting old National Geographics for awhile now, and there are tons of old maps in them that I have been keeping for the future. I'm still trying to decide what to do with the bright golden magazines though. So many options!
