Antique Library Step Stool

Monday, March 2, 2015

It's no surprise I love antique finds.  Pair that with small house living, and what we're typically hunting for are beautiful, yet practical additions.  This antique library step stool fits the bill!  An aged patina, sturdy design and ability to fold up completely made us go with this piece.
We found this at Cornish Trading Company in Cornish, Maine.  Great for additional seating, it also works well as a small side table.  And did I mention the patina?  The warm wooden hue is the perfect texture to give more depth and feeling to our current home's color palette.
Have you had any good finds lately?

  1. Hi,

So cute and useful...I love that! A few months ago, I was in a local resale shop and found a lovely secretary desk. This was not just any ordinary secretary desk, it just so happened to be a Drexel piece. It is a beautiful white color with painted flowers and birds on it! The top doors are lined with chicken wire and open to shelves. I was over the moon!

I hope you and your little twins are doing well. They are a lot of work but a great deal of fun and love too! Mine (who are also a boy and a girl) will turn 4 this June. It goes by fast! Enjoy!

    Vicki
