Our 1950's bungalow has been a labor of love! We're no experts, just newlyweds enjoying the adventures of first time home ownership. With help from family and plenty of google searches, we're learning as we go, and working hard to turn this house into a home!

Hi, Tara! Thanks so very much!!!
DeleteCan you do one of those things where you tell where you bought each item in the "new" living room, and how much they cost? I like it a lot, and seeing your before, made me realize my own tan den looks a lot like it, and here I had thought not having curtains looked open and spacious, but you showed me that I need white curtains and rods like those, and I love the chairs the rug, the basket, the little coffee table, etc. etc. etc. Thanks! kate
ReplyDeleteHi, Kate. While it's not in list form, I do have something kind of like it here: http://ironandtwine.blogspot.com/p/living-room.html ~ Let me know if you have any further questions!

ReplyDeleteMrs. S ~ so sorry!!! I accidentally deleted your comment ~ that's what I get for trying to do this on my phone vs desktop :) I believe you asked where the blue and green pillow was from in the guest room. I bought it earlier this year at Pottery Barn Outlet. Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteMichelle, I know you hear this A LOT but your home is just BEAUTIFUL, and I love it! Your wood floors are just gorgeous, and I would love them in my home☺ I'm a new follower, come on over and visit when you have time. My blog is no where near as beautiful as yours, and I am just starting, but it'll get better. Thanks--♥Angie
ReplyDeleteI was looking through your home tour and saw your dining room table--which I love! I first saw that style in the Pottery Barn catalog and loved it, but I wanted a larger oval that would seat 6 comfortably and more if needed, so I asked my father to make one like it. The storage in the pedestal is a dream! Your home is just lovely. What a beautiful color palette!

ReplyDeleteI LOVE your dining chairs!!! We just moved to the lake in February and these are exactly what I'm looking for to go on our lower level patio. Love your style!!!

Also - I have a very similar daybed with some of the exact same pillows. They were in my craft room, now in a basement/lounge area and soon to be in the finished office/art studio.

I stumbled across your blog via Pinterest and am so glad I did because I am taking on a project similar to your home! I am remodeling a 1950s cottage in Missouri with my fiance and am decorating in a farmhouse/cottage style. I was struggling to find what I envisioned for our living room to show my fiance and when I saw yours it is the same layout/design! I am 22 and getting married soon so this remodel is a big undertaking for us! Thanks for sharing and best wishes!
